Association under the 1901 law created in 1969 to:

Group all the parents of children registered in the school.
Ensure they get all necessary information or represent them.
Support and give life to school.
Establish links with other catholic school parent associations so as to increase their influence with government bodies if necessary.

The parents of all students at Saint Joseph who have paid the tuition fees are automatically members. Their representatives are elected during a board meeting in October and usually meet once a month. They can be contacted throughout the school year on Mondays between 2 p.m and 4.30 p.m by phone (02 35 46 90 11) or e-mail.

THEIR ROLE IS TO:

Represent the parents at all school board meetings.
Help organize career and students symposiums, the various library activities (renting out of textbooks) class photographs and other activities.
Assist teachers especially for school outings, parent- teacher meetings or finding lodgings for foreign students and teachers.
Find financing to help disadvantaged families pay canteen rates or let their children go abroad on various exchange programs or to pay for students transportation to the swimming pool or the skating rink.

Renewal
Every year as their children leave school, active members of the A.P.E.L board leave the association. Parents of newly registered students should join us. Even if you only have a little free time you can help. Please let us know !
